Antioch has gone through some changes this year after a little hiatus. During lockdown a small group met on Zoom on Sunday nights. We had a couple of guest speakers and enjoyed a lot of laughs and fellowship. Since the lockdown a couple of new worship spaces have been created.
The month begins with ‘Sound Bites’ one of the new ways of doing church where we hear a short talk on a Bible verse, that has been recorded by a variety of Christian leaders from around New Zealand. They leave us with some questions to discuss together as a group. This has been a great time of really getting into a deeper understanding of the verse and talking about the practical elements of it. We also have some supper and a cuppa afterwards.
The second and fourth Sundays we worship together with the musicians, hear a talk, pray and share the Lord’s Supper together, along with a cuppa and cake afterwards.
The third Sunday is now known as ‘The Table’. This is something new where we gather around a long table and have food and fellowship, along with a short talk, discussion and prayer.
The vision of Antioch is to bring together a community of young adult Christians to encounter the living God, worship, grow, encourage one another, live out their faith, and engage with each other and the community beyond. Visitors are always welcome!
