St B Website: Please keep an eye on our St Barnabas parish website – we will put this cancellation information on our home page as soon as possible, with any other essential information, and links to our pewsheet. Go to for links to our pewsheets, Mooring Post magazine and sermons. We aim to provide further spiritual resources and links to them as we are able.

Diocesan Website: Keep an eye on the Anglican Diocese website and its dedicated page on Coronavirus:  Now is also a good time to subscribe to get Anglican e-life for regular news from the Diocese which you can do at the foot of this page:
Pastoral Care: Clergy and staff will be at St Barnabas church on Sunday 22nd to offer pastoral conversations to those who may turn up.
The Parish Office remains open Monday-Friday 9am-3pm at this stage, and the clergy and staff are available via the Parish office.
St Barnabas Church will be open during office hours for personal prayer – we ask people to respect social distancing and not to enter the church if they are unwell.
For any pastoral concerns, please contact your clergy or staff, and let us know if you have any concerns about anyone, particularly those on their own or without close family in Christchurch.
Meanwhile let us look after one another, be as creative as we can in using phone, email, texts and social media to keep in touch, and above all keep in prayer for our world, for national and community leaders, for health care services, and for each other.
Our God is faithful, and we trust in our God to see us through this together. Meanwhile we are called to be the Body of Christ dispersed and to be Christ’s ears, eyes and hands to others as we can.
With love and prayers from us all here at St Barnabas,
Rev Jenny  021 025 18826
Jo Cotton, Pastoral Care Coordinator 027 545 1185
